Terms and Conditions

 

1. Acceptance of Terms of Use and Amendments.

Our terms & conditions are as follows:

By agreeing to rent from AME HIRE you are entering into a binding contract and you accept the Terms and Conditions of Hire. To summarise, as soon as the kit leaves our office, you are responsible for it until it comes back. If it comes back with anything missing or damaged, it is your responsibility to cover any losses and/or damages. If the kit is out of service because of damage on your shoot, you will be responsible for paying the list rate until it comes back to us, also known as continuing hire charges.

Responsibility

  • 1.1 The Hirer shall give such proof of their identity, as the Owner shall reasonably require. The Hirer shall also be responsible to notify AME Hire of any changes in circumstance immediately.

  • 1.2 The person or company/organization who enters the hire contract assumes full financial responsibility for the equipment until it is returned. The company/organization assumes responsibility through employee or hired/contracted professional or student who rents on their behalf. Any late return of equipment may be charged at our discretion.

  • 1.3 All damage to the equipment shall be reported to AME HIRE within 24 hours.

  • 1.4 The insurance liability for any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment is with the customer. We retain the right to charge for any losses (material or financial) or damage to equipment whilst on hire. Continuing Hire Charges are charged at the hired equipment’s daily book rate before any discount was applied until the equipment is replaced or repaired and back in service.

  • 1.5 The client and guarantor shall take all reasonable precautions to avoid loss/damage to the equipment during the period of hire.

  • 1.6 The client & guarantor are responsible for the safe handling of equipment. Repair or replacement costs for the registered retail value of the equipment plus processing costs will be billed to the debtor and/or guarantor for damage or loss while the equipment is in the client's possession.

  • 1.7 It is the client’s responsibility to test and examine all hired equipment to determine it is in good working order and a condition fit for the client’s purpose. All equipment must be tested before filming, with any issues immediately reported to AME HIRE.

  • 1.8 The equipment shall be deemed to be in good condition at the beginning of the hire period unless any damage shall have been noted on the check sheet. Any damage occurring during the shoot must be immediately reported to AME HIRE.

  • 1.9 The equipment shall be the responsibility of the Hirer at all times when in the Hirer's possession, in the event of loss of goods or any item thereof from whatsoever cause or reason, shall immediately pay to the owner the full costs of replacement, packaging, and administration.

2. Hire Period
  • All bookings require a 24-hour notice period.

  • The hiring period for the equipment shall commence at the time specified in the Agreement Form. It shall begin at the time the equipment leaves the Owner's premises and shall finish when the equipment is returned to the Owner's premises.

  • The equipment must be returned (or made available for collection) at the time and date specified in the Agreement Form unless in the meantime the Owners have agreed to an extension.

  • Extension of hire must be notified to the Owner at least 24 hours before the end of the original hire period.

  • Cancellation fees may be levied at the Owners' discretion but are not applicable if at least 48 hours' notice of cancellation is given by the client. AME HIRE reserves the right to charge the full agreed rate for any jobs canceled with less than 24 hours ' notice.

  • Prices are subject to change by the Owners without notice.

  • Hire charges for equipment are calculated from the time equipment leaves the premises until the end of the period of hire, or when the equipment is returned to us, whichever is the later

Please Note

We require full card details (Both front and back) and the postcode of the payment card for security purposes (In the event that any excess fee or late fees may need to be recovered, or if the client wishes to extend their booking)

 

Please ensure the identification provided matches the payment card and the named holder signing the agreement form.

3. Collections, Returns, and Deliveries
  • If you require the rental out of our office hours (9 am-6 pm) equipment must be collected between 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm the day before the date stated on your agreement form. Please note this will also incur an additional half-day rate due to the nature of the time the equipment is being collected and out of service.

  • Equipment must be returned between 9am -11am of the date stated on your agreement form

  • Please note that a 1-day rental is for 24 hours (from collection to drop off) Late Returns will incur an extra 1x day rental charge

  • A call-out fee will be charged for out-of-hours pick-ups or returns. (at £50 per Hour. Delivery charge also applies. Out of work hours (before 9 am or after 6 pm).

  • Any deliveries and collections need to be confirmed before an agreement has been signed.

  • Any deliveries or collections will be charged based on miles from our base (Albert Jacob House, 62 Roman Road, London, E2 0PG)

  • 0-5 miles will be £24.99, anything between 5-15 miles will be £34.99, and any journey 15-30miles will be a £49.99 delivery charge. Anything 30miles from our base will have to be discussed. Please be aware that we apply congestion charges to any delivery or collection within the congestion zones. AME HIRE reserves the right to refuse any order.

4. Payment

An excess holding fee is required (Returned hours from the kit is returned to AME HIRE) as well as the booking fee for any equipment being rented from AME HIRE while using any of its channels to book the kit (If you have not provided a valid insurances document for equipment being hired), please check product info before booking. Once identification has been verified and payment has been processed you will get a confirmation email letting you know your order is ready for collection. If you have opted for delivery and pick you will receive a time slot to notify you when the kit will arrive and be collected. When making online payments, if the equipment is booked for additional days an invoice will be sent to you with the additional cost of hiring that shall be paid no later than a day after returning the equipment. Your excess holding fee could be retained to cover the additional hire cost if failure to pay on time.

  • Payment of hire charges must be made by cash, BACS (Bank Transfer), or debit card before the commencement of the hire period unless an account has been established with AME HIRE.

  • Cash (Please be aware a 50% deposit must be paid in advance to pay any remaining cash payments)

  • Card payments using our card machine will incur a 1.75% surcharge on the full amount to be paid.

  • A payment link will incur a 1.9% UK card (2.9% non-UK card) surcharge on the full amount to be paid.

  • Any Administration and legal costs involved in pursuing an overdue account will be charged to and paid by the client or guarantor.

  • AME HIRE reserves the right to refuse to hire equipment to the client if the client fails to comply with AME HIRE's terms of payment. If the Hirer shall default in punctual payment of the sums to be paid or shall fail to observe or perform the terms and conditions of the agreement, or if the Hirer shall do or cause to be done or permit or suffer any act whereby the Owner's rights in the equipment may be prejudiced or put in jeopardy, this agreement shall forthwith determine (without any notice or other act on the part of the Owner) that it shall thereupon be lawful for the Owner to retake possession of the equipment and for that purpose enters into or upon any premises, and the determination of the hiring under this.

 

EXCESS BANDS

Depending on the total value of the kit hired you will need to pay an excess holding fee that will be returned 24 hours after the kit is returned to AME HIRE.

5. Identification Process 

AME HIRE is a professional hire company, however, we ask for the client's original I.D for example Passport or Driving License, and one form for proof of address for example valid bank statement or utility bill (no longer than three months old. Please beware a phone bill will no longer be accepted). Before payments can be processed or are ready to collect or be delivered all Identification must be sent to ame.hire@outlook.com. We ask that any details you provide be scanned and sent to us via email. Upon arrival, an AME HIRE representative will scan your documents to verify. Payment card details must match the I.D. being sent for booking. Due to the fact if any equipment owned by AME HIRE is lost or stolen while booked under the client, insurance and the Police will be informed and AME HIRE will forward your details to them. AME HIRE also supports Data Protection services to ensure your information stays within the company in confidence

6. Insurance

Please be aware when using alternatively hire services to rent from us, they may only cover you for the first £25,000 worth of kit. If your kit hire's total value becomes more than £25,000 you will need to provide your own insurance documents to be able to hire the kit from AME HIRE.

 

6.1 BOOKING KIT WITH AME HIRE

We recommend when getting insurance to hire out the kit you use our trusted partners

to get an annual or short-term (Daily) insurance policy CLICK HERE.

 

6.2 EXCESS HOLDING FEE

Alternately at AME HIRE, we have an excess holding fee option that allows our clients to take out equipment for just a small fraction of the excess. If equipment is booked via our channels you can pay a £50-£350 excess holding fee depending on the value of the kit booked from AME HIRE. Please see the product information before making any bookings. The excess holding fee will be returned 48hrs after the equipment is returned to our base.

If you have selected this option, please beware that you are only covered under our insurance as a third party. You are only covered for the following

  • Accidental Fire

  • Accidental Breaks / Damages

  • Accidental flood / Water Damage

If any of the above occurs, the named person on the 'Agreement Form' will be responsible for paying the full excess fee of up to £1000 (Per Item).

In the event of the kit not being able the be returned the named person on the 'Agreement Form' will be responsible for paying the daily list rate until it is made available for services also known as continuing hire charge (Please refer to our Responsibility 1.4 for full details.)

By continuing, I instruct my bank to pay AME HIRE Limited, 300-332 Eastern Avenue, Ilford, Essex, IG4 5AA, U.K. Manual Payments from the bank account detailed in this 'Rental Agreement Form' in the event of any loss or damages. I confirm that I am an authorized signatory on the bank account set forth in the 'Rental Agreement Form', and I confirm that I have the necessary authority to authorize Manual Payments for the bank account set forth in the 'Rental Agreement Form'; and I agree that Manual Payments may be in any amount that I owe AME HIRE under the General Terms of Service.

In addition, these details will be used by AME HIRE to set up a Direct Debit Instruction which may be utilized in scenarios such as a chargeback dispute related to your AME HIRE account.

 

Confirmation of your details

This information will be sent to your managing bank or building society for approval. We will email confirmation of any manual payments or direct debits Instruction within three working days.

7. Liability

  • AME HIRE accepts no responsibility for damages to people or property arising from the use of our Equipment.

  • Equipment must not be left unattended in vehicles at any point. AME HIRE reserves the right to change/amend the T&Cs of Hire without prior notice.

AME STUDIO

Terms and Conditions

​Definitions
“The Client” means any person or organisation dealing with the Studio or any agent, representative, servant, employee, or subcontractor of such person or organisation.
“The Equipment” means all fixtures and fittings and all equipment situated in or provided by The Studio.
“The Studio” means the location in which our studio is located in the address on your confirmation email.
“us” or “AME STUDIO” means AME HIRE Ltd.
“Building” means the building in which the studio is situated.

Membership: your contractual relationship with us:

* Rolling Membership: a membership option where the full Membership Fee is paid in monthly installments and renewed every month, cancelable at any time.


Membership Fee: the amount you agree to pay upfront for your Rolling Membership.

Membership Amount: the amount you agree to pay on a monthly basis for your Rolling membership, starting from £130 per month.

Cancellation Period: Memberships can be canceled at any time but are not refundable. A single session can only be canceled 72 hours before your booking.

Promotional Rate: a discounted offer of our services and/or Membership available as a promotion for a limited amount of time.

Introduction

This is an Agreement between you (the Member), and AME Studio (the Studio), the trading name of AME HIRE Ltd, a company registered in England And Wales (registration number 13929490), whose registered office is at

(“The Studio”, “us” or “we”). By becoming a Member or booking a Session, you agree to our terms and conditions.

 

Starting Your Agreement

1. Our joining and booking process is an online process. Full membership prices and hourly rate options can be found on our website or quoted based on your requirements. By completing the online process and becoming a Member of AME Studio, you are accepting all the terms and conditions in this Agreement (insofar as they are applicable). You should only join if you have read them and accept them.

2. This Agreement starts once you have accepted the terms during the online process. By accepting the terms, you are agreeing to pay any applicable Membership Amount or booking fees. These are shown at the start of the online process and again before you confirm your payment instruction.

3. Your Agreement will start immediately from the date of your first Session. Your sessions must be booked using our online portal and will be limited to the hours booked. Any overtime beyond your booked session cannot be rolled over and will be charged in addition.

4. You agree to comply with the Studio Membership Rules and you agree to use the studio facilities and equipment in the proper manner. You must consult a member of staff if you are unsure. We are not liable for any injury you suffer through the incorrect use of our equipment or facilities.

5. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

6. You will be liable for any damage caused to our equipment or facilities through your negligent use.

7. You agree to tell us immediately of any changes to your personal details, including contact information.

Using The Studio

​

1. You are entitled to access and to use the studio defined by your Membership or Session until termination or suspension of that Membership or Session pursuant to this Agreement. 

2. We will make reasonable endeavors to make available to you the rights and privileges of the studio you joined and have paid for. This includes access to the Studio and studio equipment, bathroom, staff, and independent self-employed staff for general advice.

3. Use of the studio is on a self-service basis unless specified in an Add-on. We will make reasonable endeavors to advise you on ways to best capture audio and video using our equipment, however, we cannot be held liable for any technical issues that may arise during or after your Session. 

4. We reserve the right to cancel your Session by providing at least 30 minutes of written notice. In the event of a cancellation initiated by the Studio, we will issue you a refund in the amount of equal value to your booked Session.

5. We charge overtime for any Session recording beyond their booked slot, regardless of Membership status. Our overtime rate is charged per minute and is Standard, £1.10p.

6. Your media files will be delivered to you via a WeTransfer download link within 3 working days after your session. The link will be available to download for 28 calendar days, after which point they will expire. AME Studio, its parent companies, its agents, employees, and subcontractors will not be liable for any lost media after this point.

7. You have the option to transfer your media files directly to a personal device after your Session. Should you opt for this, we can no longer back up your media files.

Payment

1. If your Membership or Session has an initial fee, you agree to pay us the full amount inclusive of the Membership Fee by credit or debit card. You will be notified of any applicable Membership Fee during the online joining process, and this amount will be confirmed to you by email. 

2. Your Membership has a recurring Membership Amount, you agree to maintain a Direct Debit instruction with your bank (or recurring international Credit Card payment for overseas members) for the Membership Amount. Your first monthly Membership Amount is due on or before the date of your first Session, and the subsequent monthly Membership Amount will be due on the same day of each month until your Membership is canceled.

3. If the terms on which you are accepted as a Member include an initial Promotional Rate, you agree to pay the discounted Promotional Rate as a recurring Monthly Membership Amount during the introductory period specified in the promotional or introductory offer and that thereafter we may debit for the higher standard Monthly Membership Amount specified in the promotional offer (or such higher rate as might apply) in respect of each successive month after the introductory period has lapsed and unless or until your Membership is canceled.

4. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change your monthly Membership Amount or our studio rates. If this happens we’ll notify you not less than 3 weeks before the change is made. You are able to cancel your Membership or Session within this period, and if we do not hear from you within the period the new amount will apply automatically.  

5. You agree to pay us the monthly Membership Amount or Session costs regardless of whether there is any temporary interruption in services during the period, foreseen or unforeseen. In circumstances where we are required to close or restrict facilities for any reason, no refunds will be due. In the event the Studio services are interrupted, you have the right to cancel your Membership or Session.

6. If any payment due from you is returned unpaid or not honored, you will pay us on demand an administration fee of £15.

Ending your Agreement

1. You have the right to cancel your Membership at any time.

2. We reserve the right to terminate this Agreement and your Membership with immediate effect if you do not pay any applicable amount when it falls due.

3. We reserve the right to terminate this Agreement and cancel your Membership with immediate effect with written notice without reason. In this event, you will no longer be able to access any of our facilities and we will provide you with a refund for any unused Sessions.

Other Clauses

1. Only you, the person or business named in the online process, can benefit from this Agreement.

2. If any of the terms of this Agreement are invalid, unenforceable, or illegal the remaining terms can still be enforced.

3. AME Studio, its parent companies, its agents, employees, and subcontractors are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of any of the property that you bring onto any of our premises. If such loss, damage, or theft is caused by the negligent acts or omissions of AME Studio or its agents, employees, or subcontractors, our liability to you will be limited to £50.

4. We may make reasonable changes to the AME Studio Membership Rules and the Membership Agreement at any time. It is your responsibility to check online at regular intervals for changes to these documents.

5. This Agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.

6. You should print a copy of this Agreement for future reference.

 

By becoming a Member, you agree to have read and understood all the terms and conditions above.
