Here are the questions we are most frequently being asked.

  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about the business, such as “Where do we ship to?”, “What is our opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help you navigate the site.
  • How do I make a booking?
    Book Your Equipment in 4 Easy Steps 01 Select You Kit Use our catalogue to add kit to a basket to get an instant quote. 02 Booking Request Fill out all required details correct to make a booking confirmation. 03 If the booking request is approved, you will be sent a hire agreement form to sign along with payment methods to complete your booking. 04 Shoot All equipment is checked by our expert technicians before and after all rentals. We recommend all equipment to be checked by anyone renting before you film. Have a great shoot and we will see you on the agreed return date.
  • What documentation do I need to provide to rent kit from AME HIRE ?
    AME HIRE is a professional hire company, however we ask for the clients original I.D for example Passport or Driving License and one forms for proof of address for example valid bank statement or utility bill (no longer than three months. Please beware a phone bill will no longer be accepted)
  • What payment methods are accepted by AME HIRE ?
    BACS (Bank Transfer) Debit Card (Card payments using our card machine will incur a 2% surcharge on the full amount to be paid) Cash (Please be aware a 50% deposit must be paid in advance to pay any remaining cash payments) Note an excess holding fee will be added to payment which is refunded 24hrs from the return of the kit hire (Only applies in the event you do not have your own insurance policy). If you have selected for delivery or collection this will be included within the updated price.
  • What is an excess holding fee?
    An excess holding fee is required (Returned 48 hrs from the kit is returned to AME HIRE) as well as the booking fee for any equipment being rented from AME HIRE while using any of its channels to book kit (If you have not provided a valid insurances document for equipment being hired) EXCESS BANDS Depending on the total value of the kit hired you will need to pay an excess holding fee that will be returned 48hr from the kit is returned to AME HIRE.   • What is AME HIRES opening hours ?
    Our office hours are Mon -Fri (9am-6pm) Sat (11am-5pm)
  • Do we offer a delivery services ?
    Yes, we do offer a delivery service. Any deliveries or collections will be charged based on miles from our base (330 - 332 Eastern Avenue, Ilford, Essex IG4 5AA) starting from £24.99 Please see full Terms & Condition for full delivery rates.
  • In the event off a late return ?
    The equipment must be returned (or made available for collection) at the time and date specified in the Agreement Form, unless in the meantime the owners have agreed to an extension. Extension of hire must be notified to the owner at least 24 hours before the end of the original hire period. Please note that a 1-day rental is for a 24-hour period (from collection to drop off) Late returns will incur an extra 1x day rental charge.
  • What happens if an Accidental Breaks / Damages?
    In an event of an accident or any issues with the kit please follow all of the action steps below. Failure to do so may jeopardise your coverage under available insurance: 1.
